Join this small group wildlife and rainforest tour to see rare Australian wildlife by day and by night. Departing in the afternoon you will be taken southwest of Cairns to the Atherton Tablelands, to discover the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. During the daylight hours, your guide will lead you to find the elusive platypus, wallaby, musky rat-kangaroo and Boyd’s Forest Dragon in the rainforests around Lake Eacham, Lake Barrine and the magnificent Cathedral Fig Tree.

Dinner is included at a country restaurant in the town of Yungaburra and once night falls you will venture back into the rainforest to see more wildlife! The guide will use a spotlight to showcase possums, frogs, owls and other nocturnal animals that call the forest home. The tour concludes at approximately 9.30pm when travellers are returned to their accommodation.
