As you ride along the 40 kilometers of Chemin du Roy to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, you will pass through the many traditional villages of rural Québec. In Sainte-Anne de Beaupré, you will be given time to visit the world famous Shrine. You will also stop at the Montmorency Falls (11/2 times higher than Niagara Falls). Just as you think your day isover, you will be treated to a short visit on the Island of Orléans,discovered by Jacques Cartier in 1535, where the picturesque village of Sainte-Pétronille, with its 19th century rural atmosphere, waits to be rediscovered again.

Your trip continues around the Gaspé Peninsula and you will havetime to enjoy beautiful surroundings with magnificent sea andmountain scenery. Take the time to relax on a beach or to go for ashort hike in the area. Continue to Carleton sur Mer which is a majortourist destination on the Gaspé Peninsula, surrounded by mountainsand sea. Visit Miguasha National Park, a fossil-rich site some 378million-years-old, which has been recognized as a World Heritage Siteby UNESCO. Studies of the fish and plant fossils found here havecontributed to some key documents written about the evolution of lifeon earth. Continue through scenic Matapedia Valley back to the St.Lawrence River. The town of Rimouski extends from the shore of theSt. Lawrence to a plateau overlooking the river and the Ile Saint-Barnabé just off shore. By following the coastline, you will reach themagnificent Le Bic National Park which will surprise you with itsunique panorama made up of bays, capes, islands, mountains and adiversified wildlife.
