    Welcome to Calgary, the largest city in Alberta and the gateway to the breathtaking Canadian Rockies. Before setting off on your bucket-list adventure, take time to explore some of Calgary’s highlights. Visit the award-winning Central Library, stroll along the scenic Bow River pathways, or experience the energy of Stephen Avenue, home to lively restaurants and shops.In the evening, meet your tour leader and fellow travelers in the hotel lobby for a pre-tour briefing. To kick off the journey, the group will enjoy a welcome dinner at Sky 360, the revolving restaurant atop the iconic Calgary Tower, offering the best panoramic views of the city. Calgary’s diverse dining scene is among the best in Western Canada—tonight is the perfect introduction.**Please Note- Guests must arrive in Calgary prior to 4 PM to enjoy the welcome dinner.

    This morning, we’ll drive through the heart of Calgary, passing key landmarks such as Stampede Park and the picturesque Princess Island Park along the riverfront. As we continue, we’ll head past Canada Olympic Park before leaving the city behind and entering the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains.Our journey takes us through the scenic town of Canmore before reaching Banff, the centerpiece of Canada’s first national park. Originally known as "Siding 29" on the Canadian Pacific Railway, Banff was designed from the start as a resort town. Its first superintendent, George Stewart, even aligned the town’s main street to frame the perfect view of Cascade Mountain.Upon arrival, we’ll explore Banff on a guided sightseeing tour, stopping at Cascade Gardens, the Hoodoos, and the stunning Bow Falls. We'll also visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site, where the discovery of hot springs led to the creation of Banff National Park.Next, we’ll take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views. At the summit, we’ll enjoy a group dinner with an unforgettable backdrop of the surrounding peaks and valleys. After dinner, we’ll check in to our accommodations and settle in for the night.

  • Day 3: Banff - Lake Louise, AB

    After breakfast, we’ll check out of the hotel and journey west, crossing the Continental Divide into British Columbia’s Yoho National Park. This stretch of the Rockies is known for its rugged beauty, and our first stop is the breathtaking Emerald Lake. Fed by glacial runoff, its waters shimmer in a striking blue-green hue, making it one of the most picturesque spots in the park. We’ll also visit the Natural Bridge, a fascinating rock formation carved by the powerful Kicking Horse River, and pause for a photo stop at the famous Spiral Tunnels, an engineering marvel of the Canadian Pacific Railway. We then cross back into Alberta to visit two of the most iconic lakes in the Rockies—Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Surrounded by towering, snow-capped peaks and glaciers, these lakes are even more spectacular in person than in photographs. As we round the final bend and catch the first glimpse of their emerald waters, the sight is nothing short of breathtaking. Late in the day, as the sun dips behind Mount Victoria, the golden light reflecting off the peaks creates a scene of unparalleled beauty—one that will stay with you long after you leave.

    Today, we journey through the heart of the Canadian Rockies along the world-famous Icefields Parkway, often ranked among the most spectacular drives on the planet. This breathtaking route winds through a landscape of towering peaks, ancient glaciers, and pristine wilderness, offering some of the most unforgettable scenery in Canada. A short distance into our drive, we stop at The Crossing before taking a detour to Abraham Lake for a once-in-a-lifetime experience—a thrilling helicopter ride over the Rockies. Soaring over Cline Pass at 10,000 feet, you'll take in panoramic views of six massive glaciers, cascading waterfalls, and crystal-clear alpine lakes from above. Back on the Icefields Parkway, we continue to the iconic Columbia Icefields, where meltwater feeds into three different oceans. We’ll visit the Interpretive Centre before embarking on an unforgettable ride aboard the massive Ice Explorer vehicle, taking us right onto the Athabasca Glacier for an up-close look at this ancient frozen wonder. Next, we’ll step out onto the Skywalk, a glass-floored observation platform suspended high above the valley below, offering a thrilling perspective of the dramatic landscape. Our final stop of the day is Athabasca Falls, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the Rockies, before we arrive in Jasper, a charming mountain town that will be our home for the next two nights.

    Originally a tiny railway town, Jasper has a small-town charm that contrasts with the alpine resort feel of Banff. Nestled within Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this mountain town is surrounded by towering peaks, pristine lakes, and abundant wildlife. We begin the day with a ride up Whistler Mountain on the Jasper SkyTram, offering sweeping views of the vast wilderness below. From there, a full day of exploration awaits. Our first stop is Maligne Canyon, where we’ll take a gentle walk along its edge to witness how rushing water has carved deep, dramatic crevices into the limestone rock. Continuing into Maligne Valley, we’ll ascend through sub-alpine forests, where rugged limestone ranges rise above Medicine Lake. This fascinating, "disappearing" lake changes seasonally, filling and emptying as underground channels drain its waters. Our journey then leads to Maligne Lake, the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies. Here, we’ll embark on a scenic 90-minute cruise across its crystal-clear waters, stopping at the iconic Spirit Island—one of the most photographed and serene spots in the Rockies.

  • Day 6: Jasper, AB - Kamloops, BC onboard Rocky Mountaineer

    Today, we board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for an unforgettable journey from Jasper to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s Interior. As we travel west and south, we’ll be immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of the Continental Divide, passing through the rugged river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Onboard, you'll enjoy breakfast and lunch while taking in panoramic views from the train’s glass-domed windows. Highlights of today’s journey include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, the cascading waters of Pyramid Falls, the scenic ascent over Yellowhead Pass, and the picturesque route along the North Thompson River as we approach Kamloops. Upon arrival at the Kamloops Station, we’ll transfer by motor coach to our hotel for the night. The pick-up time for tomorrow morning’s transfer back to the train station will be posted in the hotel lobby.

  • Day 7: Kamloops - Vancouver, BC onboard Rocky Mountaineer

    After an overnight stay in Kamloops, we transfer by motor coach to the train station to continue our journey west toward the Pacific Ocean and the vibrant coastal city of Vancouver. Today’s route offers a striking transformation in landscapes—from the arid, desert-like terrain of British Columbia’s Interior to winding river canyons, dense forests, and the towering peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains. As we descend into the lush Fraser Valley, the scenery shifts once more, with rolling green fields stretching toward the horizon. Key highlights of today’s journey include the dramatic rock sheds and steep slopes of the Thompson River and the powerful, churning waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon, one of the most awe-inspiring sections of the route. Upon arrival in Vancouver, we’ll transfer to our hotel for the night. The remainder of the evening is yours to relax, explore the city, or enjoy a meal at one of Vancouver’s renowned restaurants.

    This morning, we set out on a city sightseeing tour to discover why Vancouver is one of North America's most dynamic and scenic cities. Our tour takes us through Stanley Park, home to towering evergreens and iconic totem poles, past the vibrant neighborhoods of Chinatown and Gastown, and along the stunning shores of English Bay. To cap off the city tour, we’ll experience FlyOver Canada at the harbourfront. This state-of-the-art attraction simulates the sensation of flight, suspending you in front of a 20-metre spherical screen as you soar across Canada from coast to coast. Special effects—including wind, mist, and scents—enhance the exhilarating eight-minute journey, making it an unforgettable experience. In the afternoon, we step into British Columbia’s Pacific coastal rainforest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, where we’ll cross the famous 450-foot (137-meter) bridge, swaying high above the Capilano River. Next, we head to Grouse Mountain, where a scenic tram ride whisks us to the summit, offering breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding wilderness. Here, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit the grizzly bear refuge, home to rescued bears living in a protected alpine habitat. After returning to the hotel to freshen up, we’ll come together for a farewell dinner, reminiscing about the incredible journey we’ve shared through the Canadian Rockies and beyond.

    This morning, we bid farewell to Vancouver, British Columbia, and transfer to Vancouver International Airport for our journey home. As we reflect on the unforgettable experiences of this journey, from the breathtaking landscapes of the Canadian Rockies to the vibrant cityscapes of Vancouver, we leave with lasting memories of an adventure filled with natural beauty, history, and new connections.

Tour Questions

Anderson Vacations specializes in Small Group Fully Escorted tours. If the tour is classified as a ‘Classic Tour’ up to 24 persons may join the tour although tours commonly travel with anywhere between 18 to 24 travellers. If the tour is classified as a 'Tour of Distinction’ only up to 18 persons may join the tour and many 'Tours of Distinction' travel with 12 to 18 travellers.

After dreaming about travel to an exciting destination, arranging for time off work, booking your flights the last thing you need is for your trip to be cancelled. Anderson vacation's pre-Guaranteed tours take the uncertainty away from planning your travel and give you peace of mind to book our tours. Pre-Guaranteed Tours are group tours that we have already confirmed as certain to travel on the specified date. All 'Guaranteed Tours' will travel except in the event of a natural disaster or a catastrophic event that is beyond our control. They may already have the minimum number of people booked or else are tours that are known to be popular. Only select departures of tours are 'pre-Guaranteed'.

We pride ourselves on providing “a small shared group experience.” In the event that we have fewer than ten participants on a tour we will offer a “small-group surcharge” to ensure that the tour runs as scheduled. This fee, which is up to 15% of the “land” portion of the tour, will be offered to you as an option to continue with the trip. This fee will cover the costs associated with handling a smaller group.

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+.

Some tours are mainly coach based and may not be physically demanding while others may require walking inclines or on rough surfaces to access interesting locations. Please check with us and your booking agent carefully and discuss your mobility restrictions before completing any tour booking to ensure this style of travel is right for you.

Yes, we do accommodate dietary restrictions (within reason) such as, food allergies, vegan, vegetarian, etc. There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices.

Yes, we can assist you with airport transfers for you in most locations at a reasonable extra cost. Several tours have airport transfers already included. Please contact us for more details.

Yes, we can certainly assist with booking additional nights of hotel accommodation for you before and after your fully escorted tour. This is available upon request and subject to availability. Please inquire for further information and prices.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for baggage is 20 kilograms or about 40 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages but there may be places where you will be required to wheel in your bags for quicker access. Be sure to advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker, or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of a coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations guidelines.

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo travellers can choose to pay a Single Supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share with a co-traveller of the same gender, we have a Twin Share option that is offered for most tours where you share a hotel room with another same gender traveller. In this case, you will not be charged for Single Supplement.

Yes, it is possible to book triple share accommodations on select trips. Please inquire or contact us regarding this option, as prices and availability vary from tour to tour.

For convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals that are specified in the itinerary are included in the tour price. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 10-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Coach Driver (where appropriate) and Tour Director are entirely at your discretion. We recommend about CDN $5.00 per person, per day, for your Driver and CDN$7.00 per person, per day for your Tour Leader.

Our tour takes us through Stanley Park, home to towering evergreens and iconic totem poles, past the vibrant neighborhoods of Chinatown and Gastown, and along the stunning shores of English Bay. To cap off the city tour, we’ll experience FlyOver Canada at the harbourfront. This state-of-the-art attraction simulates the sensation of flight, suspending you in front of a 20-metre spherical screen as you soar across Canada from coast to coast. Special effects—including wind, mist, and scents—enhance the exhilarating eight-minute journey, making it an unforgettable experience. In the afternoon, we step into British Columbia’s Pacific coastal rainforest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, where we’ll cross the famous 450-foot (137-meter) bridge, swaying high above the Capilano River. Next, we head to Grouse Mountain, where a scenic tram ride whisks us to the summit, offering breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding wilderness. Here, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit the grizzly bear refuge, home to rescued bears living in a protected alpine habitat. After returning to the hotel to freshen up, we’ll come together for a farewell dinner, reminiscing about the incredible journey we’ve shared through the Canadian Rockies and beyond.

Tour Questions

Anderson Vacations specializes in Small Group Fully Escorted tours. If the tour is classified as a ‘Classic Tour’ up to 24 persons may join the tour although tours commonly travel with anywhere between 18 to 24 travellers. If the tour is classified as a 'Tour of Distinction’ only up to 18 persons may join the tour and many 'Tours of Distinction' travel with 12 to 18 travellers.

After dreaming about travel to an exciting destination, arranging for time off work, booking your flights the last thing you need is for your trip to be cancelled. Anderson vacation's pre-Guaranteed tours take the uncertainty away from planning your travel and give you peace of mind to book our tours. Pre-Guaranteed Tours are group tours that we have already confirmed as certain to travel on the specified date. All 'Guaranteed Tours' will travel except in the event of a natural disaster or a catastrophic event that is beyond our control. They may already have the minimum number of people booked or else are tours that are known to be popular. Only select departures of tours are 'pre-Guaranteed'.

We pride ourselves on providing “a small shared group experience.” In the event that we have fewer than ten participants on a tour we will offer a “small-group surcharge” to ensure that the tour runs as scheduled. This fee, which is up to 15% of the “land” portion of the tour, will be offered to you as an option to continue with the trip. This fee will cover the costs associated with handling a smaller group.

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+.

Some tours are mainly coach based and may not be physically demanding while others may require walking inclines or on rough surfaces to access interesting locations. Please check with us and your booking agent carefully and discuss your mobility restrictions before completing any tour booking to ensure this style of travel is right for you.

Yes, we do accommodate dietary restrictions (within reason) such as, food allergies, vegan, vegetarian, etc. There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices.

Booking & Flight Questions

Yes, we can assist you with airport transfers for you in most locations at a reasonable extra cost. Several tours have airport transfers already included. Please contact us for more details.

Yes, we can certainly assist with booking additional nights of hotel accommodation for you before and after your fully escorted tour. This is available upon request and subject to availability. Please inquire for further information and prices.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for baggage is 20 kilograms or about 40 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages but there may be places where you will be required to wheel in your bags for quicker access. Be sure to advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker, or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of a coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations guidelines.

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo travellers can choose to pay a Single Supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share with a co-traveller of the same gender, we have a Twin Share option that is offered for most tours where you share a hotel room with another same gender traveller. In this case, you will not be charged for Single Supplement.

Yes, it is possible to book triple share accommodations on select trips. Please inquire or contact us regarding this option, as prices and availability vary from tour to tour.

For convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals that are specified in the itinerary are included in the tour price. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 10-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Coach Driver (where appropriate) and Tour Director are entirely at your discretion. We recommend about CDN $5.00 per person, per day, for your Driver and CDN$7.00 per person, per day for your Tour Leader.
