Day 1: Sydney

Welcome to Sydney! From the moment you arrive in this vibrant city you will discover a new adventure around every corner. From the many shops and restaurants of the famous Darling Harbour and the History of the Rocks area to the beautiful Bondi and Manly Beaches, you will always have so much to see and enjoy. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation for the next 3 nights.
Day 2: Sydney Sightseeing by Bike

There is no other experience in town that shows you as much or entertains you like the Sydney Classic Bay Tour! We will take you to all of the iconic sights, and tons of other sights you may miss on your own. Our expert guides will give you the information you need to get the most out of your trip to Sydney We are the experts, so sit back and let us do all the work!
Day 3: Sydney Bridge Climb

Absorb a 360 degree panorama of Sydney as you journey to the summit on our original Climb experience. Like an exposed spine, the outer rim delivers you to the peak, as the sky remains just beyond your outstretched fingertips. Latching on in the Climb Base below the Bradfield Highway, you will walk on catwalks below the road-deck until you reach the South-East Pylon. Here you will ascend 4 ladders to the start of the upper arch, surrounded by the hum and buzz of Sydney’s traffic. With the summit in your sight, your journey continues along the Bridge’s outer arch on the Opera House side until you hit the top. After a summit celebration with your group, you cross the spine of the Bridge to the Darling Harbour side to make your descent to our Climb Base.
Day 4: Sydney Harbour Hop on Hop off

When in Sydney do what the locals do and travel on the harbour highway. A Sydney Harbour Hop On Hop Off ferry pass makes it easy for visitors to navigate the maze of commuter timetables. Hop On Hop Off rocket ferries depart the main tourist precincts of Circular Quay and Darling Harbour departing up to 14 times daily, every 30-45 minutes, for a 60 to 90 minute cruise around the harbour with a choice of up to nine stopovers along the way.
Day 5: Sydney to Hervey Bay (Flight not included)

Today you will be transferred to the Sydney Airport where you can take a flight to Hervey Bay. Spend the afternoon exploring the beaches of the area or joining a short adventure tour
Day 6: Fraser Island Full Day Tour

Perfect for visitors with limited time and budget the 1 day Experience Tour is a fun and affordable way to see Fraser Island! With a maximum of 17 guests per tour - sometimes even less, we’ll provide you with personalized service from our friendly guides. Travel in an air conditioned 4WD bus specially designed to handle all types of tracks. Morning tea, picnic lunch supplied.
Day 7-8: Hervey Bay to Proserpine Overnight Train

The new Spirit of Queensland combines modern seating and entertainment options with the romance of long distance rail travel. Contemporary, comfortable and designed for relaxation, the newest addition to the Queensland Rail Travel fleet offers new features that will redefine the modern rail travel experience. RailBed Innovation, The Spirit of Queensland will launch an Australian first, the revolutionary RailBed. The RailBed is a spacious and comfortable seat by day that includes a state-of-the-art personal entertainment system, a 240v powerpoint and a USB point. In the evening the onboard team convert the seat to a lie-flat bed with all linen provided.
Day 9: 2 Day /1 Night Whitsundays Sailing Experience

Ideal for small group tours, families, couples and soft adventure seekers. With only 12 guests, Prima offers you the most out of your Whitsunday encounter and you leave the crowds behind. As a “hands on” owner operated vessel Prima provides a more personalised experience with greater flexibility. Newly refurbished and fitted out, you can spoil yourself in modern stylish comfort whilst relaxing at calm safe anchorages. We want you to experience the best of the Whitsundays – join in with the sailing to enhance the adventure or just relax on deck. You can get in, get wet, swim and snorkel or just feel the sand between your toes! Meet your crew at Coral Sea Marina one hour before departure for a headcount, to depart the marina at 8:30am. Enjoy the breathtaking island views as you float across the Whitsunday Passage to Whitsunday Island, finding anchorage at Tongue Bay. Take a guided bush walk to the Hill Inlet Lookout to the view of Whitehaven Beach before heading down and spending an hour or two exploring. In the afternoon you’ll sail north to another island where you’ll anchor just before sunset. After dinner, grab a drink and enjoy the evening with your found friends
Day 10 : Whitsundays Sailing Experience

Early rise for breakfast, and kit up with snorkeling gear, ready to jump in over the fringing coral reefs to see the fish and coral. Time for morning tea before heading to another location for a swim, snorkel or a beach stop. After lunch, it is time to set the sails once again and make way across the Whitsunday Passage. Arrive back into Airlie Beach at 4pm.
Day 11: Airlie Beach to Cairns by Train

Say G’day to the jewel of Australia – The Great Barrier Reef. You will be transferred to the Sydney Airport where you can take a flight (At your own expense) north to Queensland.
Day 12: Cape Tribulation

Travel to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives. Join a guided tour and see the endagered cassowary and other wildlife with the opportunity to have our photo taken holding a koala, snake or crocodile (extra cost.) Travel along the rainforest-fringed Cape Tribulation Road through Daintree National Park, a magnificent wilderness region. Depart for Jungle Surfing - a unique rainforest tour where your feet don't touch the ground. Fly through the trees on ziplines with a bird's eye view into the canopy and out to the reef. Depart Cape Tribulation for return journey with some comfort stops along the way. Stop at Alexandra Lookout for magnificent views. Depart north side of the river for the Daintree River Cruise. Spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife as you journey through the mangrove.
Day 13: Green Island 3 Day Experience on the Great Barrier REef

Situated on one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Great Barrier Reef, is another of nature’s rare gifts – beautiful Green Island. This ancient coral cay is home to over 120 species of native plants, colourful bird and marine life and beautiful coral gardens to explore.With just 46 luxurious suites nestled amid lush rainforest and secluded from the day visitor facilities, one of the hallmarks of Green Island Resort is its unique reef and rainforest setting. Day 14: Cairns

Spend your last day exploring Cairns on your own.
Day 15: Cairns to Darwin Flight not Included

Today you will be transferred to the airport and after your flight to Darwin you will have time to join the Big Croc Feeding in Darwin. Your 1 hour VIP Tour includes a close encounter with a big croc, the opportunity to hold unique reptiles and entry to Crocausauras Cove.
Day 16: Full Day Kakadu Tour

Join us on the adventure of a lifetime as we uncover the very best Kakadu has to offer. We leave tropical Darwin travelling through the rich floodplains towards Kakadu National Park, this 20,000 square kilometer area is teeming with wildlife, important Aboriginal rock art sites, and diverse landscapes. Our first stop on this Tour is Jumping Croc Cruise on the Adelaide River. The traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people (who are active in the reserve’s management), one of the most spectacular places to explore the diverse wildlife of the Top End, home to numerous species of birds, turtles, water pythons and of course the iconic Saltwater Crocodile. We’ll stop in at the Corroboree Park Tavern where you are able to support locals and purchase your lunch and snacks for the day ahead, and continue on to Bowali Visitor Centre to learn more about the rich Aboriginal culture and history of this special place. We’ll visit the famous *Cahills Crossing in search of crocodiles at this eye-opening stretch of water, the only road access point between Arnhem Land and Kakadu National Park. Visit the home to some of the oldest and best-preserved rock art galleries in the world, Ubirr rock, and marvel and the amazing rock formations of the East Alligator region of Kakadu as it meets the West Arnhem plateau. Depending on seasonality and accessibility to Ubirr, we may instead visit Kakadu’s other main rock art attraction at Nourlangie rock, traditionally also known as Burrungkuy, where we can marvel at the art along the shaded rock shelters, appreciate the colourful birdlife and hope to catch a glimpse of a number of species found no-where else on the planet. *Cahills Crossing is subject to seasonality and weather conditions permitting access.
Day 17: Katherine Gorge

Heading out of topical Darwin in the morning we travel south along the famous Stuart Highway through the townships of Adelaide River and Pine Creek towards Katherine. Take in unlimited flora and fauna, endemic to this wonderful region of the Northern Territory and relax as your guide provides historical and cultural commentary throughout your journey. A must-see inclusion in your day is the NitNit Dreaming two-hour Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) boat cruise where you will journey through the middle of cliff faces 70m high with the sun’s natural lighting providing ever-changing colours throughout the landscape and rock formations. Soak in the authentic culture and stories of the traditional owners of the land, the Jawoyn people of Katherine as you are guided through this wonderful area, before you disembark and we make our way to the picturesque Edith Falls (Leliyn) region. Subject to seasonality and conditions, feel free to take a refreshing dip in the huge natural plunge pool of Edith Falls (Leliyn) or simply relax and take in your surroundings, as it’s then time to meander our way back through the townships of Pine Creek and Adelaide River on route and enjoy the remainder of your evening in Darwin.
Day 18: Darwin to Perth Flight not included

Take flight to Western Australia and you will be transferred to your accommodation in Perth.
Day 19: Perth Sightseeing and the Pinnacles Desert

Start your day in Perth with a coffee (or tea), and a dash of culture, art and history. Discover hidden art, laneways, secret gardens, amazing cafes and learn about the local history while exploring the city. Your friendly local guide will escort you to one of the most significant structures in Perth, the State Buildings. Formerly home to the General Post Office, Land Titles Office, Treasury and Parliament, this complex contains 120 years of stories. These days, the State Buildings are home to many quality food and beverage venues. The tour will explore the heritage precinct of Perth, the old theatre district, as well as former educational precincts. Enjoy a coffee/tea at a popular local cafe (included) and enjoy wonderfully re- purposed heritage spaces. The tour concludes with a delicious treat at Elizabeth Quay, the waterfront precinct located on the tranquil Swan River. The ideal start to a Perth day. This evening Explore the world renowned Pinnacle Desert, an amazing moon like landscape, at the most magical time in the evening. Experience the change in light as the sun sets and makes way for a myriad of stars brought to life without light pollution.
Day 20: Rottnest Island Bike and Snorkel Package

It's time to experience Rottnest like the locals do! Discover Rottnest Island by bicycle and experience over 63 beaches and 20 bays as you explore this unique A-Class Reserve. Cycling is environmentally friendly and a fun recreational activity for all ages. As Rottnest Island has essentially no cars, cycling is one of the best ways to get around the island. Snorkelling is absolutely amazing on Rottnest Island, with many calm bays and beaches to choose from. See some unique marine wildlife and tropical corals in the beautiful underwater habitat. Bicycle and snorkel combo hire is the easiest, stress free way to get the ultimate Rottnest experience. Once you get off the ferry make your way to the Pedal and Flipper shop behind Hotel Rottnest. As you have booked your bike and snorkel prior to travel, you can line up at the priority queue making it quick and easy to get your bike and snorkel. Your bike hire will include a helmet, lock and free repair service in the event of a breakdown. The Bike Hire team is trained to personally fit customers to bikes to ensure optimum comfort and safety! Please note: Bicycles and snorkel sets must be returned to Pedal and Flipper by 5pm. Return times are seasonal, please check closing time when collecting your bicycle on arrival to the island.
Day 21: Perth to Exmouth

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Learmonth and you will be transferred to Exmouth, the gateway to Ningalroo Reef.
Day 22: Swimming with the Whale Sharks or Whales

Over a staggering 30,000 west coast Humpback Whales migrate through the Exmouth and Ningaloo region and start to rest after their long migration from the Antarctic. Mothers will typically move their calves into the Gulf area at Exmouth over these months, to fatten them up for their lengthy return journey south. The Department of Parks & Wildlife has recently given authority for Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo to provide guided swims with these amazing creatures under strict parameters and conditions. Visitors will venture out in small groups of seven with a guide & videographer to record one of the most special intimate encounters of the ocean. Following this, guests will enjoy a snorkel on the reef to enjoy the amazing tropical fish, rays, turtles and corals. The tour includes a fresh delicious lunch with drinks and refreshments. High quality snorkel equipment & wetsuits. Transfers from accommodation in Exmouth, Parks & Wildlife Fees.
Day 23: Ningaloo Reef Safari

Ascend to the top of Cape Range to view rugged beauty of Charles Knife Gorge and enjoy the sprawling views over Exmouth Gulf. Our expert guides will help you discover the unique flora and fauna of Cape Range National Park. Enjoy an exclusive tour of tranquil Yardie Creek on board Ningaloo Safaris Tours own purpose built vessel. Visit Milyering discovery Centre and the panoramic Vlamingh Head Lighthouse. Re-live the history of the North West Cape with experienced and friendly local guides who have extensive knowledge and appreciation of the areas natural beauty, colorful history and its bewildering variety of native fauna and flora.
Day 24: Learmonth to Melbourne

You will be transferred to Learmonth for your flight to Melbourne.
Day 25: Melbourne Bike Tour and Hidden Lanes Tour

On the Melbourne by Bike City Tour you'll see more in a few hours than most see in days. Explore Melbourne’s coolest streets, parks, shops, cafes, hidden laneways and multicultural neighbourhoods. Experience real Melbourne hospitality on this leisurely ride with a local guide in small friendly groups (usually 8 or less). It’s the perfect way to start any Melbourne visit and to get your bearings. Be a traveller, not a tourist. Don’t just “see" Melbourne... understand it! Ride Melbourne's most vibrant areas where its university students hang out, explore the city's street art scene and shop for amazing gourmet treats to eat with fellow riders during our lunch break at the famous Queen Victoria Market (or elsewhere when the market is closed on Mondays & Wednesdays). You'll see Melbourne's best architecture old and new, learn a bit of its golden history, experience its famous cafe and foodie culture... and hear about some of its colourful characters from a passionate guide. Enjoy this easy, fun, healthy, interesting and sociable tour. Rediscover the wind in your hair and the freedom of eco-friendly cycling Have you ever been to a city and wondered what all the fuss was about? Or wasted time trying to find that cool local cafe you were told of and ended up missing everything? Melbourne's arcades and laneways hide many of these answers. Join this indulgent afternoon walk through Melbourne's beautiful back streets and get orientated in the life of the city that locals love. Discover local designers and specialty retailers that often are only found in the city. Some of the quirkiest cafes, independent designers, street art, architecture and historical tales are found in these walkways. There is something for everyone, local and visitors alike. Day 26: Phillip Island Tour

We begin our day with a stop at the Phillip Island Koala Reserve, where you’ll be making some new friends with our local Australian animals as you're taken on a guided ranger walk through the woodland. Famous for its natural beauty, stunning beaches, rugged cliffs, and unique wildlife it's then to the western end of the island to the Nobbies. Experience the majestic rocky coast and views of an Australian fur seal colony and spot wild wallabies and native birds on a back road journey to the main show at the Penguin Parade. Explore the award-winning Visitor Centre before witnessing the world’s smallest penguins emerge from the sea and waddle ashore. It’s truly a magical and unforgettable experience!
Day 27: Great Ocean Road Tour

Departing Melbourne at around 10.00 am, we enjoy panoramic views of the city and Port Phillip Bay as we cross the Westgate Bridge, Australia’s longest at just under 2.6 kilometres in length. We pass by and learn a little about Victoria’s second-largest city, Geelong, as we make our way towards the Surf Coast, with its enchanting beachside towns and powerful swells. We make a brief stop at the town of Anglesea, for a chance to walk alongside the beautiful Anglesea River, before continuing the scenic journey along the Great Ocean Road. At the township of Kennett River, we break for lunch (at your own expense) with an opportunity to stroll among the sweetly-scented eucalyptus trees to locate local koalas in their native habitat. There is a large koala population here and numerous sightings are guaranteed. From here, we travel onwards through the Otway Ranges to the Shipwreck Coast and the iconic rock formations of the Port Campbell National Park. Our first stop is Loch Ard Gorge where 52 lives were lost and only 2 souls survived the wreck of the Loch Ard in 1878. Your guide will recount the legend of the Loch Ard, bringing the gorge to life in a way you never imagined. We take time to explore here, with more rock formations to see, including the Razorback, the Dumpling Pots and the delightful Island Archway. As the sun approaches the horizon we make our way to our final sightseeing destination. Prepare to be amazed by the majestic monoliths of the Twelve Apostles. Enjoy a genuine spectacle watching the colours of the sky and the land transform in the evening light. We break up the homeward journey with a dinner stop (at your own expense) in the regional town of Colac. We then continue on, enjoying views of the illuminated city as we again cross the Westgate Bridge on the approach to Melbourne. With drop off right back to your inner city accommodation, you’ll remember this day as a true highlight of your Australian holiday.

What is the average age of passengers for this tour?

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+

I am a solo traveler. Is there a single surcharge?

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo Travelers can choose to pay the single supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share, we also have a Twin Share option that is offered for the majority of our tours. This means you will be sharing the hotel rooms with another single, same gender traveller who also books the Twin Share option. If this is the case, there will be no single supplement charged to either of you. If we are unable to match you with another Twin Share traveler, there may be a single surcharge applied to cover the full cost of the rooms on some of our longer tours. Please enquire before finalizing your booking for full details.

How physically demanding is this tour? Are you able to accommodate people with mobility restrictions/limitations?

This tour has a low level of physical demand, although there may be some activities or sightseeing tours that require walking short distances. Please inquire if you have any mobility restrictions before completing your booking to ensure this tour is right for you.

How much luggage should I bring?

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for this suitcase is 32 kilograms/60 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages. Please advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of the coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations Tours guidelines.

What is your recommended spending amount for non-included meals?

The suggested allowance for non-included meals is $40.00 — $60.00 CAD per day (includes tipping).

Can you accommodate passengers with dietary restrictions (food allergies, vegan, vegetarian etc.)?

Yes! There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices and arrangements made for you.

Are gratuities included in the tour cost?

For your convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals stated on the itinerary are included in the price of the tour. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 15-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Motorcoach Driver and Tour Director are left to your discretion.
