Welcome to Calgary, the largest city in the western Canadian province of Alberta. While you are here to experience the bucket list adventure experience of travelling through the breath-taking Canadian Rockies, take some time to explore the award-winning architectural masterpiece of Calgary’s Public Library, walk along the scenic Bow Valley River pathways or experience the buzz of downtown Stephen Avenue with its stores and restaurants. Calgary’s dining scene is incredibly diverse and absolutely the best in western Canada. Pick up your car rental which includes unlimited km, LDW insurance and third party liability.

Drive to Canmore for your first day of excitement. Begin your adventure day with a magical 2 hour guided trail ride along the Bow, Kananaskis or Elbow River Valleys, with the backdrop of the Rockies. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch overlooking the scenic river landscape! After lunch participants meet for an exciting afternoon for your rafting adventure. Spend 2-2.5 hours on the river surfing, splashing, playing games with water canons and paddling through the rapids on a professionally guided raft. After your adventures, continue on to Banff and check in your accommodation for 2 nights. The town of Banff is a spirited place and you are surrounded by strikingly beautiful and rugged mountains that seem to burst straight out of the ground. The town site of Banff covers almost 4 sq. kms. and is at an elevation of 1,383 mtrs (4,537 feet), making it the highest town in Canada. Banff is flanked on all sides by towering mountains, including Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, Mount Norquay, and Cascade Mountain. You may see a herd of elk wandering down the main street during your early morning walk. The lively streets of downtown are lined with top-class restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as a vibrant range of art galleries and museums

Today you'll enjoy a half day Via Ferrata route at the top of Mount Norquay. This is an assisted climbing experience up ladders, across suspension bridges high above the town of Banff. The epic views and mountain vistas will surround you while you make a safe and secure journey along the route. You'll be attached by a harness that is always attached to the steel cable pathway.

This morning drive along the famous Bow Valley Parkway, where wildlife sightings of caribou, elk, and occasionally, bears, are common so keep your cameras handy. At Lake Louise you can stop for a short stroll along the shores, you might even want to stop for a small hike in Johnston Canyon on route too. Continue onwards to Jasper travelling through the heart of the Canadian Rockies, drive along the famous Icefields Parkway which has been voted one of the most spectacular drives in the world. You will see for yourself why this mountain road that boasts a unique landscape rich in history and natural beauty second to none is so famous. At the summit of Bow Pass, take a quick side tour to see the turquoise blue waters of Peyto Lake and the beauty of the Mistaya River Valley below. And later arrive at the famous Columbia Icefield. You can also choose to add-on a ride on an Ice Explorer at the Columbia Icefield for an additional cost or its a great place for a rest stop and to overlook the glacier. Finally, at the end of this exciting day, you can see the powerful Athabasca Falls before arriving at the charming town of Jasper, your home for the next two nights.

Start your day by taking on some of the most picturesque rapids in the world. Jasper's Whitewater Rafting Co. is both Canada's newest and oldest white water adventure company. Established in 1971 it was recently purchased by long time employees. This company has a strong tradition of providing safe, fun and informative rafting trips for all generations of your family. This run (approximately 12 km) contains numerous Class Two white water rapids. Beginning at the base of the Athabasca Falls, the paddler is challenged by rapids and enchanted by magnificent scenery in a canyon setting. Equipment provided: National park licensed guides, wet suits, life jackets, paddle jackets, neoprene booties. Wind pants, touques, neoprene mitts are available for inclement weather. In the afternoon enjoy a guided trip of jasper in a motorcycle side car. Experience a chauffeured motorcycle sidecar tour that is a thrill and adventure for all ages. Tour the open road in the great outdoors of the Canadian Rockies; fresh clean mountain air, the wind on your face, unobstructed views of amazing wildlife, and breathtaking scenery around every bend. Cruise by raging rivers, beautiful lakes, powerful waterfalls, ancient glaciers, majestic mountain peaks and to world famous destinations.

Drive onwards to the Capital of Alberta, Edmonton. A unique, easy to learn and relaxing way to discover Edmonton is to join our included Segway Tour along the quiet pathways of the River Valley. You will receive in-depth training from a Segway certified trainer who will go over the skill you need before heading out on your adventure. You will be surprised at the ease of operation these scooters that require no balance and no previous experience. Your package ends this morning as you check out of your hotel. If you're driving you might take this opportunity to visit Elk Island National Park before heading home.
