THE JOURNEY BEGINS

Customizable Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrive at Pyna-tee-ah Lodge

The lodge overlooks a beautiful stretch of rolling river that has some of the best trout and salmon pools on the Quesnel River. This small lodge hosts up to just 6 rooms at a time for a truly intimate experience. Relax infront of the stone fire place in the great room, stroll the beautiful riverfront grounds and enjoy the authentic Canadian hospitality. You are truly in the heart of nature, surrounded by rivers, lakes, wildlife, history, alpine, wetlands and world-class adventure. Later today you'll join an orientation and Q&A session and then dinner.

    Meals: Dinner

  • Day 2-3: Bear and nature viewing activities

Your daily program will begin with an early breakfast in the lodge. In the fall the grizzly bear watching is said to be the most active due to being the salmon spawning time of year. The arrival of salmon in the rivers draws the attention of the grizzlies for their annual feast as they prepare for hibernation. Travel by Jet Boat to the bear viewing rivers and in addition the tours may venture out to other locations with 4 x 4's and short hikes depending on bear activity. Enjoy a packed lunch during your daily excursions. You'll return to the lodge late afternoon with an early evening dinner. The evening yours to enjoy as you like - walk along the river, relax at the lodge, chat about your daily adventures with other guests or explore the Gold Rush village of Likely.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Day 4: Depart the lodge

You'll enjoy one last breakfast at the lodge before departing home or your next destination with a bank of memories to share.
