  • Day 1: Arrive in Vancouver

    Arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. Once you arrive in the Vancouver Airport there will be pre-arranged ground transportation where you will find your transfer to your downtown area hotel.

  • Day 2: Vancouver Sightseeing

    Vancouver is one of the most captivating cities in Canada, with its multicultural fusion and spectacular mountains and ocean setting. A city tour includes Stanley Park, Chinatown, English Bay as well as some prestigious residential areas of Vancouver. Visit Capilano Park and experience the suspension bridge, the tree top adventure and the cliff walk, plus Salish First Nations culture.

  • Day 3: Vancouver - Whistler

    This morning you will board your motor coach transportation to Whistler. On arrival, spend the day skiing in Whistler. Located only 2 hours from Vancouver, Whistler blends the charm of an alpine village with the amenities of an urban centre. The pedestrian, only Whistler Village, offers fine dining, vibrant nightlife and outdoor adventure. This afternoon strap on your snowshoes for an introductory snowshoe trip through the snow covered forests of British Columbia. (A Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Day Pass is available as an option extra)

  • Day 4: Whistler - Vancouver - Jasper by VIA RAIL scenic train ride

    Today you will be transferred to the train station in Vancouver where you will board the "Canadian" for your eastward journey towards Alberta and Jasper National Park. Travelling in Sleeper Class, by day you will sit back in comfortable armchairs, at night attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or a private bedroom. You will have access to the Park Car which offers a lounge atmosphere and the Dome Car for 180 degrees panoramic windows for spectacular viewing. Gourmet meals are included in the dining room while travelling in Sleeper Class.

  • Day 5: Maligne Canyon Ice Walk

    The Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour is one of Jasper's most popular and impressive winter adventures. Your Sundog tour guide will take you to the bottom of the Maligne Canyon "“ the deepest accessible canyon in Jasper National Park "“ where you will explore frozen waterfalls, ice caves, and incredible ice formations. You will learn about Jasper's Maligne Valley, Karst topography, and the mystery of the "disappearing" Medicine Lake.

Located in the breathtaking Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Marmot Basin is a ski and snowboard destination that inspires lasting memories. Only 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers 3,000 vertical feet (914m) of superb skiing and snowboarding on 1,675 acres of varied terrain. Large, snow filled bowls are paradise for powder skiers and snowboarders. For those who enjoy cruising, our state of the art grooming fleet keeps the tree-lined trails groomed to perfection.     This morning you will be transferred to Banff, where you can enjoy a sleigh ride with your family, friends or loved ones. Relax and take in the breathtaking views and sparkling winter air of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The sleigh ride will take you through the Bow River Valley showing you the remote areas around Banff, western style!

  • Day 8: Banff Day Ski Pass

    Banff National Park is home to one of the longest ski seasons in North America and three world-class ski areas, which are all located within 45 minutes of the Town of Banff: Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village, and the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Enjoy a day skiing or snowboarding and experience the "champagne powder" Banff is known for.

  • Day 9: Snowshoeing Excursion to Marble Canyon

    An easy afternoon introductory tour to snowshoeing. Travel to Kootenay National Park and admire the dramatic colours of Marble Canyon. See how the pounding and frozen waters of Tokumn Creek have eroded a 40 meter deep limestone gorge. Walk through the forest left standing from the 2003 Kootenay fire and search for snowshoe hare, moose and wolf tracks while exploring how the landscape is changing and animals are adapting

Tour Questions

Our tours are suitable for all age demographics. The average age of travelers is typically 45+

There are options for single travelers to join most tours. Solo Travelers can choose to pay the single supplement and have their own room throughout the tour. For those willing to share, we also have a Twin Share option that is offered for the majority of our tours. This means you will be sharing the hotel rooms with another single, same gender traveller who also books the Twin Share option. If this is the case, there will be no single supplement charged to either of you. If we are unable to match you with another Twin Share traveler, there may be a single surcharge applied to cover the full cost of the rooms on some of our longer tours. Please enquire before finalizing your booking for full details.

This tour has a low level of physical demand, although there may be some activities or sightseeing tours that require walking short distances. Please inquire if you have any mobility restrictions before completing your booking to ensure this tour is right for you.

Each passenger may bring one large suitcase and one carry-on bag. The weight limit for this suitcase is 32 kilograms/60 pounds. Baggage handling is provided at the hotels in our tour packages. Please advise our reservations staff if you will be bringing additional items such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. You may also bring one small soft-sided carry-on bag, which should easily fit into the overhead shelf of the coach. Each person is responsible for his/her own carryon luggage. Remember to check your airline baggage restrictions if you are flying, as they may differ from Anderson Vacations Tours guidelines.

The suggested allowance for non-included meals is $40.00 — $60.00 CAD per day (includes tipping).

Yes! There are many meals included on our fully escorted tours. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking so we can ensure there are alternative meal choices and arrangements made for you.

For your convenience, gratuities for local guides and meals stated on the itinerary are included in the price of the tour. For meals not included in your tour package please remember that it is customary to tip your server 15-20% in North America. Gratuities for your Motorcoach Driver and Tour Director are left to your discretion. We recommend $4.00 - $5.00 CAD per person, per day for your Motorcoach Driver and $6.00 - $7.00 CAD per person, per day for your Tour Director. if you can't find your
